By Maggie Roth October 1, 2025 at 10:48 am

Looking for a way to enjoy the crisp autumn air? Forgo your usual gym routine and head to one of these four NoVA plazas, where outdoor fitness classes give you a chance to enjoy the season without skipping a workout.

Fitness at National Landing

National Landing hosts several free, outdoor fitness classes and workshops. Check out Hustle with Sunny Mae, a full-body, low-impact workout class, Tuesdays until October 28. There are also Wednesday morning fitness sessions and a pop-up Pilates Sculpt class (with a complimentary matcha) on October 5 at Metropolitan Park. There are also classes on Sunday afternoons in Center Park in Potomac Yard through October 28, with options like barre and Zumba. You’ll receive a punch card and can win prizes when you attend multiple events. Locations vary in National Landing

Fit4Mom Workouts at Mosaic

Every day except Wednesdays and Sundays, Fit4Mom hosts classes designed for moms to bring the kids along in the Mosaic District. There are variations of classes including Stroller Barre, Strides 360, and Stroller Strides. Mosaic District, first class free, memberships starting at $99 per month

The Plaza at Mason Square

Through November 1, The Plaza at Mason Square is hosting a range of free outdoor activities, including several fitness classes. Catch outdoor yoga on Wednesday evenings, Pilates on Thursdays, Zumba on Fridays, and dance on Saturdays. 3351 Fairfax Dr., Arlington, free

The Boro Tysons

Head to Boro Park for a free outdoor yoga class every other Wednesday evening. The October 1 event is a classic power flow class, and the October 15 event is a yoga sculpt class. Just remember to bring your own mat! The Boro also hosts Fit4Mom workouts regularly, and there’s a free Barre3 class on October 16. 8350 Broad St., Tysons, free
