Check Out These Veterans Day Giveaways and Discounts

Stop by a participating restaurant for a free entrée or get a complimentary car wash on November 11.

Veterans Day is November 11, and this year, several Northern Virginia establishments are honoring service members with deals and discounts. Grab your valid military ID or proof of service and stop by one of these locations to grab a free meal, haircut, car wash, and more. 

Applebee’s

For the 18th year in a row, this national chain is offering veterans and active duty military a free entrée at participating locations. 

Bob Evans

Both active duty military and veterans can enjoy a free breakfast from a special holiday menu with choices like brioche French toast, country biscuit breakfast, and banana berry oatmeal. 

California Pizza Kitchen

Grab a complimentary entrée and beverage on November 11 and take home a buy-one-get-one bounce back card that can be redeemed for pizza, pasta, or salad between November 12 through November 25.

Chick-Fil-A

At participating DC Metro locations, all veterans with proof of service can grab a free chicken biscuit or chicken sandwich. 

Chicken Salad Chick

Veterans and active duty military receive a free meal with their choice of side and beverage. The offer is valid at all locations in the restaurant and the drive through. 

Chili’s

Enjoy a free, dine-in entrée from a limited menu at participating locations.

Chipotle

Present a valid military ID to receive a second free entrée with a purchase from 4 to 8 p.m. The fast-casual restaurant has also partnered with United Service Organizations through its Round Up for Real Change program, allowing guests to round up their purchase and donate. 

Dave & Buster’s

With a valid military ID, veterans and active duty military will receive a free entrée and a $10 Power Card on November 11. 

Denny’s

Active and retired military personnel are invited to enjoy a free Original Grand Slam breakfast with buttermilk pancakes, eggs, bacon, and pork sausage between 5 a.m. to noon on November 11. 

Great Clips

On November 11, veterans and active duty military can grab a free haircut or a free haircut card for a future visit. Loved ones can also grab a free haircut card to give to a service member. 

Mission BBQ

Veterans can grab a free sandwich and attend a live National Anthem performance at participating locations at noon. The BBQ restaurant will also honor service members by featuring their stories on its website. 

Mr. Wash Car Wash

From November 10 to 11, veterans, active duty military, and military spouses can get a free exterior car wash at all 11 locations in Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. 

Outback Steakhouse

Enjoy a free, three course meal with a valid military ID on November 10 and 11. Choose between a soup or a salad, pick an entrée, and finish with the New York–style cheesecake. 

Playa Bowls

This açaí shop is offering veterans with a valid military ID a free bowl of their choice on November 11, honoring all American service members. The company’s co-founder and CEO, Rob Giuliani, is a veteran himself. 

Red Robin

For dine-in veteran and military members, Red Robin is offering a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger with bottomless steak fries. 

Regal

At participating locations, Regal is offering active duty and retired military free entry to screenings of Saving Private Ryan and Brothers on Three. For every popcorn sold on Veterans Day, Regal will donate $1 to the Gary Sinise Foundation to honor veterans. 

Ruby Tuesday

Use the code VETERAN25 when dining in for a free endless garden bar entrée or add-on with proof of military service.

Sleep Number

Through November 17, active duty, retired, and reservist personnel will get 10 percent off any Sleep Number purchase by unlocking a promotion code through an ID verification process.

Starbucks

Veterans, active duty military, and military spouses can enjoy a 12-ounce hot or iced brewed coffee for free. Starbucks is also donating $200,000 divided between the Wounded Warrior Project and United Service Organizations. 

Thompson Restaurants

All locations across the 14 brands in this restaurant group are honoring veterans everyday and on November 11 with 15 percent off their meal with a valid military ID. A few brands include Milk & Honey, Matchbox, Makers Union, and Velocity Wings.

Walgreens

Through November 11, military and veterans get 20 percent off of eligible items with myWalgreens in-store.
