If you’re looking for a fall getaway in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, consider a trip to Massanutten Resort. The all-season destination — about a two-hour drive from NoVA — is hosting Mountain Harvest Days through November 2.
The resort’s seasonal activities include live music, lodging specials, and harvest-inspired food and drink specials. Special family programming includes nature walks, mountain biking clinics, pumpkin painting classes, cornhole tournaments, and scenic chairlift rides.

“We are thrilled to debut Mountain Harvest Days this year as a new fall tradition here at Massanutten,” said Don Henk, director of hospitality programming at Massanutten Resort. “With the Shenandoah Valley’s stunning fall foliage drawing visitors from near and far, we are giving guests new reasons to enjoy the season beyond leaf-peeping. Mountain Harvest Days is designed to bring people together and celebrate the magic of autumn in Virgina.”

Activities include a family-friendly Boo Bash on October 25 with face and pumpkin painting, a scavenger hunt, free popcorn, trick or treating, and a costume contest. The Kids’ Adventure Course, climbing wall, summer tubing, and gem mining will be available for purchase.
For adults, join the Thrill on the Hill at Elevations Lounge on October 31. The event will feature a costume contest, Halloween-themed cocktails, appetizer specials, and a DJ.
The resort is also hosting a Haunted Petting Farm through October 31 and Haunted Lift Rides on November 1.
