Grab a Festive Yule Log Cake at 6 Northern Virginia Bakeries

These bakeries offer traditional and fresh takes on this Christmas dessert.

Christmas is around the corner, and a decadent Bûche de Noël — also known as a Yule log cake — is a deliciously festive way to celebrate. This festive dessert is traditionally made with chocolate sponge cake, raspberry filling, and chocolate buttercream. The dessert is decorated to look like a winter log in honor of the European Yule tradition of burning a log in celebration of the holiday season. Forget the fruit cake and impress your holiday guests with a Yule log from these local bakeries instead.
