ARLINGTON

ALEXANDRIA

Almost Heavenly Christmas Trees

November 28–December 19

Get your house ready for the holidays with the perfect Christmas tree. Make sure that your measurements are ready, choose your tree, and have it cut to take home. Staffers will be on site to help spot the perfect choice for your home. Online ordering and delivery is also available. Multiple area locations

Loudoun Nursery

Cut-your-own varieties of Christmas trees are available. Types of trees include Colorado Blue Spruce Norway Spruce, Concolor, Canaan, Korean, and Arizona Corkbark Fir. This is a no-frills nursery, dedicated to providing quality trees. 16457 Short Hill Rd., Purcellville

Milltown Creek Tree Farms

Opens Friday, November 28

Choose from several varieties of spruce and fir trees, ranging in size from tabletop height to 8 feet tall. Stop by the Christmas Shop to purchase handmade ornaments, tree stands, and cider. Saws and tree carts are provided. Cash or check only. 38757 Householder Rd., Lovettsville

Snickers Gap Tree Farm

Opens Friday, November 28

Choose from a selection of more than 36,000 trees to meet all of your height requirements. The farm provides a saw and rope. Once a tree is selected and brought to the barn, machines will clean, net, and drill the tree so it is ready to be decorated in your home. 34350 Williams Gap Rd., Round Hill

Middleburg Christmas Tree Farm

Open Friday, November 28, from 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Pick out your choice of a Norway spruce or a Concolor fir and cut down your own at what they call “the oldest and largest Christmas tree farm in Loudoun County.” This year, the farm will only be open for one day. The grounds are expansive, so take some time to appreciate the scenery while you’re there. This is a cash-only farm. 20555 Unison Rd., Round Hill

PRINCE WILLIAM

Burnside Farms

Opens Friday, November 28

If cutting down your own tree is not feasible, Burnside Farms has the answer: Pre-cut, Virginia-grown trees are delivered weekly and range in size from 6 feet to 12 feet. Tree stands, fresh wreaths, and garlands will be available for purchase. 4905 James Madison Hwy., Haymarket

Evergreen Acres

Opens Friday, November 28

Evergreen Acres carries two varieties of trees, white pines and Norway Spruce, available for cutting. It has 3,000 white pines that are between 7 and 12 feet tall. The selection of Norway Spruce trees is limited. Bow saws, wagon rides, netting, tree shaking, cider, and twine are provided for free. FAUQUIER

Hank’s Christmas Trees at Hartland Farm

Opens Friday, November 28

Choose pre-cut trees up to 8 feet tall, or cut your own at a lower price. Varieties include Douglas fir, Fraser fir, blue spruce, white pine, Arizona cypress, and Leyland cypress. Cutting and car-mounting equipment is provided. Hot chocolate is free on weekends, and other treats and beverages can be purchased most weekends, as well as wreaths and ornaments. 12230 Belle Meade Rd., Markham

Warrenton Boy Scouts Christmas Tree Lot

November 22–December 23

Find a great tree and support a local youth organization in one fell swoop at the Warrenton Boy Scouts Christmas Tree Lot. Located next to Ace Hardware: 251 W. Lee Hwy., Warrenton

FREDERICKSBURG

Belmont Christmas Tree Farm

Opens Friday, November 28

Head to the farm and pick from varieties like Fraser firs, Douglas firs, white pines, and Norway spruce. You can also choose from pre-cut Frasier fir trees. 7533 Belmont Rd., Spotsylvania

Snead’s Farm

Through December 21

Blue spruce trees from 7 to 10 feet tall will be available and Christmas card photo shoots are permitted with a fee. Admission to the farm is $5 per person. 18294 Tidewater Trail, Fredericksburg

CLARKE

Moose Apple Christmas Tree Farm

Through December 14

Cut a tree at this 33-acre farm with approximately 25,000 trees in seven varieties. You must have an appointment to cut a tree. There are also a limited number of premium pre-cut Fraser firs available for preorder. And while there, check out handcrafted topiaries, ornaments, and stained-glass gifts. 2425 Wickliffe Rd., Berryville
