Changing seasons also means a change to Northern Virginia’s dining scene. Here are 17 recent restaurant closures throughout the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bonefish Grill<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Another seafood restaurant has left Gainesville. According to Prince Williams Times<\/a>, Bonefish Grill closed at the end of October after 21 years in operation. There was no reason given for the closure. Bonefish Grill still operates locations in Fairfax and Alexandria. 7611 Somerset Crossing, Gainesville<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benny Diforza’s<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The pizzeria that served larger-than-life pizzas is no longer part of the Del Ray community. While its Alexandria location has closed, fans can still visit the Manassas and Fredericksburg locations for a large slice. 1504B Mount Vernon Ave., Alexandria<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dickey\u2019s Barbecue Pit<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Herndon restaurant said goodbye to its loyal customers in October. In its goodbye post on Facebook<\/a>, the business said, \u201cEvery plate of ribs, pulled pork sandwich, and smile we shared meant the world to us.\u201d Dickey\u2019s mentioned rising costs and lower customer traffic as reasons for its closure. 494 Elden St., Ste. 230, Herndon<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dynasty Brewing Co. <\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Beer lovers are going to have to travel a little farther to get to Dynasty Brewing. At the end of November, the brewery closed its Ashburn location and is now only operating in Leesburg. 21140 Ashburn Crossing Dr., Ste. 130-135, Ashburn<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grand Cru Wine Bar and Bistro<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Grand Cru Wine Bar and Bistro closed in November after nearly 20 years in business. The space will become a medical spa and recovery center, according to ARLNow<\/a>. 4301 Wilson Blvd., Ste. 100, Arlington<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u00e1yl\u00ed<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Just a year and a half after opening, this Mediterranean restaurant<\/a> is no longer in service. The eatery permanently closed after its building was designated for redevelopment<\/a>. 3033 Wilson Blvd., Arlington<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lost Dog Cafe<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After 16 years in business, the Lost Dog Cafe on Columbia Pike in Arlington had to close. Just months earlier, the Columbia Pike location mentioned it was considering closing<\/a> due to ongoing construction on the main road. 2920 Columbia Pk., Arlington<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MacDowell\u2019s Beach<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After not opening for the summer 2025 season, MacDowell\u2019s Beach in Leesburg is now listed as temporarily closed. The business has yet to comment on its status. 202 Harrison St. SE, Ste. B, Leesburg<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae\u2019s Market and Cafe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The news of Mae\u2019s Market\u2019s Arlington location closing comes just months after its Alexandria location closed<\/a>. Maman is set to open its second Arlington location in its place, according to ARLNow<\/a>. 1450 S. Eads St., Arlington<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moe\u2019s Southwest Grill<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Moe\u2019s fans were met with a closed sign on the door of its Chantilly location at the beginning of November after 20 years. Craving a Moe\u2019s burrito? You still head to the closest locations in South Riding or Fairfax to get your fix. Vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant<\/a> Chay will open a second location in its place, The Burn <\/em>reported<\/a>. 5005 Westone Plz., Chantilly<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panera Bread<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You won\u2019t find your favorite Panera soups and sandwiches in Rosslyn anymore. The eatery, which opened in 2013, closed its doors just before Thanksgiving, according to the Washington Business Journal<\/em><\/a>. There are still three other Panera locations in Arlington to visit. 1700 N. Moore St., Ste. 110, Arlington<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pirouette Restaurant & Wine Shop<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The eatery, which opened in 2022, officially closed on October 18. According to ARLNow<\/a>, the owners struggled to keep up with rising costs and slower sales in the months leading up to its closure. 4000 Fairfax Dr., Ste. C, Arlington<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Red Dragon Brewery<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On December 10, this Fredericksburg brewery announced that it has made the decision to close after 10 years in business. The brewery will serve its final pints on December 31. 1419 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roots 657<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Lucketts restaurant will serve its final customer on Sunday, December 14. The restaurant won\u2019t be gone for too long, though. Roots 657 plans to continue as a catering company. 42301 Spinks Ferry Rd., Leesburg<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seamore\u2019s<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This Clarendon seafood staple<\/a> closed after facing eviction in November, according to ARLNow<\/a>. Since the notice was posted, residents have seen workers taking down the Seamore\u2019s signage. 2815 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Union Kitchen<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Union Kitchen is no longer in Ballston, according to ARLNow<\/a>. The DC-based eatery expanded into Northern Virginia in 2020. The company still has locations in DC and Dulles International Airport. 4238 Wilson Blvd., Arlington<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wendy\u2019s<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s out with the burgers and fries and in with the ice cream and doughnuts. It was announced in September<\/a> that Dunkin\u2019 and Baskin Robbins will be taking over the Wendy\u2019s on Maple Avenue E. in Vienna. There\u2019s no set date on when the new franchises will open. 411 Maple Ave E., Vienna<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
