These Northern Virginia houses have taken \u201cDeck the Halls\u201d to a whole new level. With dancing lights, synchronized shows, and over-the-top Christmas decorations, these houses and neighborhoods are spreading yuletide cheer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The light show at this Ashburn home is so outrageous, it just won ABC\u2019s The Great Christmas Light Fight<\/a><\/em>. With 90,000-pixel lights, trees, and holiday figures, each time you visit the synchronized show you\u2019ll find a new detail you hadn\u2019t noticed before.\u00a0Donations are being collected for A Place To Be, LAWS (Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter), Loudoun Hunger Relief, and The Chris Atwood Foundation. The lights will be off on Christmas Eve and Christmas. The last night of the display is December 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10710 Stanhope Pl., Fairfax<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a dino-filled Christmas on Stanhope Place. An inflatable T-Rex, stegosaurus, brontosaurus, and more have made this yard their grazing territory. The entire street decorates too, with light strands connecting all of the houses on Stanhope Place together. Wind can cause this display to be out for the night, so make sure to check the weather before making a trip. Help “Feed the Dinos” with a canned good donation to St. Mary’s church food pantry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1106 Pickett St., Fredericksburg<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Make sure to make a detour to visit this Griswold-inspired home. Santa, elves, giraffes, and the Abominable Snowman cover all of the green space (and porch space) of this property. Take a stroll down the sidewalk to get an up-close view of all of the intricate details and grab a photo for your next Christmas card. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

13799 Necklace Ct., Chantilly <\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Winter- and Christmas-themed decorations scatter the yard of this Chantilly home. Perfectly layered, this home features sections that include reindeers, gifts, patriotic displays, and an area full of underwater creatures. Keep a close eye on the upstairs windows for a special jolly surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The front yard of this Brambleton home is decorated to the brink, with warm hued lights, a countdown to Christmas, and lighted wire displays that include everything from Christmas farm animals to the leg lamp from A Christmas Story<\/em>. Donations are accepted and will be donated to Evan\u2019s Golden Heart Foundation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1620 S. Quincy St., Arlington<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This interactive display could make the Grinch\u2019s heart grow. Park the car and walk along the sidewalk to take in each decoration \u2014 from the flying pigs to the penguins playing in the icy pond. Guests can also take photos in Santa\u2019s sleigh or send their letter to Santa (which also comes with a postcard reply). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

38263 Nixon Rd., Purcellville<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As you head down the dark driveway of this Purcellville home, you are met with a rush of twinkling lights the closer you get to the home. LED lights cover the home and surrounding yard, creating whimsical scenes featuring angels, woodland creatures, and even your favorite cartoon and movie characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

409 E. Nelson Ave., Alexandria<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Find a nostalgic holiday light display as you drive down E. Nelson Street. The inviting decorations include tinseled-inspired arches, blowmolds, and classic character cutouts of The Grinch and Peanuts gang. The home is collecting donations for the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its new magical display debuted over Thanksgiving weekend, with stunning house-covering projects that include candles, snow, and other captivating holiday images, all synched to your favorite carols. The show is open daily, weather permitting, through December 30. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

41033 Blue Larkspur Ct., Aldie<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This corner lot has a lot to offer. One of the biggest displays in Loudoun County, it takes 40-plus neighbors to help assemble it. As you explore the front, back, and side yard of this home, you\u2019ll discover a variety of themed sections, including nutcrackers, an ice rink, and even dinosaurs. Donations will be collected for Evan\u2019s Golden Heart Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7302 Rhondda Dr., Lorton<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This home is proof you don\u2019t need a big yard to put together an out-of-this-world display. The townhouse uses every inch of available real estate, covering its exterior with snowflakes, arches, recognizable characters, and sweet holiday treats. Also, before you drive down Rhondda Drive, make sure you check out the impressive inflatable display that\u2019s also part of this home\u2019s holiday d\u00e9cor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oakton Park Lights<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A neighborhood that decorates together, stays together. Throughout Oakton Park, you\u2019ll see holiday displays of all sizes \u2014 from Santa and his reindeer taking off on the roof to dogs and furry creatures in Santa hats to over-the-top yards that look like they\u2019re straight from a Christmas movie. The cul-de-sac collects donations for One Neighborhood Foundation and Rustic Love Vienna. Oakton Park Court, Vienna<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Woodlea Hills Lights <\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Gather in the cul-de-sac for a night full of holiday favorites. The synchronized light show not only features dazzling lights, but also character cutouts, inflatables, and singing Christmas trees. The music for this year\u2019s show includes 12 songs, including \u201cChristmas Vacation,\u201d \u201cLet it Go,\u201d and \u201cMr. Heatmiser.\u201d The display is also accepting donations to support the Humane Society of Loudoun County. 607 Hillview Pl.
