Winter is approaching, which means many of the fun outdoor activities we enjoy during the warmer months have closed their doors until springtime. Fortunately, farmers markets aren\u2019t one of them.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NoVA is full of year-round farmers markets that continue to provide shoppers with fresh produce and prepared foods \u2014 including the Ballston FreshFarm market, which is switching to a year-round model this year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may not find the same fruits and veggies that are there at summer markets, but in the place of those warm-weather tomatoes and berries will be hearty winter produce like kale, squash, and sweet potatoes that offer fresh flavor and valuable nutrients. Bundle up and start shopping! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
