Though it feels like an indie boutique the wares carried by Auntie Te\u2019s are displayed from high-end to more casual as you move through the store. Up front you\u2019ll find the designer brands\u2014Tori Burch, Coach, North Face\u2014and Louis Vuitton does grace the racks, and you can have peace of mind when buying because the tags note if the piece is authentic or not.<\/p>\n
\nTucked away in the back of an old strip mall in the older section of McLean is Fashion Exchange. And though the worn building isn\u2019t welcoming, don\u2019t let that dissuade you because you\u2019ll miss out on amazing bargains. On our jaunt to the store we found an authentic Louis Vuitton for $300, plus designer brands set off in sections for easy shopping: Missoni, St. John Couture, Prada, Marc Jacobs and more. The racks carry more of the everyday designers like BCBG, Ugg and frugal brands like 14th & Union and White House Black Market.<\/p>\n
\nWith consignment stores, location matters as it is those residents who bring in their goods. Being in Great Falls, Havana Vintage carries loads of luxe brands at great prices. \nOn a Whim is placed in a trifecta of home decor shopping along with Rust and Feathers and The Hummingbird\u2019s Nest, all of which carry antiques and salvaged goods. As you drive north on Route 15 into Lucketts, you can\u2019t miss the pink polka-dot silo on the right. That is On a Whim, where the relocated\u00a0 Weathered Elegance\u00a0 also resides, and it shares a parking lot with two other home stores. If you can\u2019t find a piece to come home with, from the as-they-are items and repurposed pieces to On a Whim\u2019s DIY yard, you\u2019re not looking hard enough.<\/p>\n
