A Double-Decker Bus in Maryland Now Offers a Wine Tour

Hop on a London-style double-decker and visit three Maryland wineries.

There’s a new way to take a winery tour: Maryland Double Deckers, a specialty tour bus company based in Frederick, Maryland, is offering a special double-decker wine tour. This tour will include pit stops at three Maryland wineries.

The Escape to the Grapes Tour, scheduled from noon to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, includes stops at Linganore Winecellars, Frey’s Brewing Co. (which also includes a winery), and Black Ankle Vineyards. Enjoy the view from the top of the bus as you move from spot to spot, stopping for tastings at each vineyard.

Tickets are $99 per person and include tastings. The tour departs from Linganore Winecellars in Mt. Airy, Maryland.

Maryland Double Deckers offers a range of rides in its “genuine London double-decker bus.”  Other specialty tours on the calendar include the Pages & Pastries tour (with stops at bookstores and bakeries) on September 21, a Frederick in the Civil War historical tour on September 23, and a BYOB Thirsty Thursday on September 25.
