Try Kickboxing Classes at These NoVA Studios

For a good workout, it might be time to learn the art of kickboxing.

By Mallory Evans August 21, 2024 at 8:48 am

Kickboxing combines cardio, strength, and coordination to create a full-body workout to help build muscle and relieve stress. Regardless of your fitness level, here are studios around Northern Virginia where you can learn the art of kickboxing.

KickHouse Chantilly

Open seven days a week, KickHouse offers a variety of kickboxing workouts ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Choose from nine different classes, from ab-building to no-contact to fat-burning sessions. Enjoy working out while listening to upbeat music or alongside casual yoga and stretching. The first class is free. 4090 Airline Pkwy., Ste. K, Chantilly

Method Boxing & Mixed Martial Arts

Visit the largest boxing gym in Stafford for kickboxing classes for all levels. All students have access to their own punching bags, which helps them learn at their own pace. Practice stand-up striking and various clinching techniques with Muay Thai kickboxing classes every Tuesday and Thursday. 3619 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Ste. 111, Stafford

RockBox Fitness

During a 50-minute class, practice a variety of rotating kickboxing exercises. You’ll move through two different boxing stations for half of the class and rotate through 8 to 12 iPad kiosks. Each kiosk has over 900 exercises to choose from. Some workouts will incorporate dumbbells, benches, and pull-up bars to target different muscle groups. 7641 Somerset Crossing Dr., Gainesville

TITLE Boxing Club Ashburn

Experience a full-body workout with these kickboxing classes. The workouts begin with mobility drills and simple calisthenics before progressing into high-intensity interval training for strength, speed pushes, and plyometrics. A series of three-minute rounds on the heavy bag will allow you to hone your skills. For first-time guests, a group fitness boxing class is recommended before kickboxing. 43810 Central Station Dr., Ste. 120, Ashburn

Urban Boxing Arlington

Master striking combinations and practice kicks with expert instructor Mike Easton. You’ll learn kickboxing techniques, offensive and defensive skills, bag work, and pad holding in an energetic and supportive environment. Classes are structured with a brief warm-up, partner drills, HIIT and bag work, and a 10-minute cool down. Gloves, shin-guards, and wraps are provided. 3701 Fairfax Dr., Arlington
