Methodology: Northern Virginia Magazine’s annual Best Home Experts list is determined by a reader poll. We asked you to tell us your go-to contractors, interior designers, plumbers, movers, and more. Once the results were in, our in-house team vetted the winners for quality control. The result is a list of home experts that you can feel confident calling on. Not all winners listed on our Best Home Experts list offer every service in the category they are listed under. Please check with the company for its complete list of services. Although some Best Home Expert winners choose to advertise in the magazine, winners cannot pay to be included on the list. The listing and the advertising sections are separate entities.
