Everyone has a preference when it comes to grocery stores — whether it’s the one closest to home, the one with the best deals, or a business supporting local farmers. If you’re looking to switch up your weekly grocery trips, keep an eye on these new grocery stores coming to Northern Virginia.
Del Ray Farmhouse Market and Garden
Find local produce and farm goods at the new grocery store inside the Del Ray Farmhouse Market and Garden. The location, which opened this March, has been building out a “farm-to-market grocery store” inside the main building since opening, according to ALXnow. Still in its soft opening, shoppers will be able to find herbs, fresh produce, and farm finds, with an expanded selection available in the coming weeks. 1913 Mount Vernon Ave., Alexandria
Euro Foods Market

Lidl
In less than a year this location on Centreville Road has transitioned from a Kohl’s to a Lidl. The new European-based supermarket is set to open on Wednesday, October 29. Southern transplants will be overjoyed to learn that another Publix is coming to Northern Virginia. With current locations in Fredericksburg and Stafford, the Manassas storefront will mark the grocery chain’s northern most location. Publix has not announced an opening timeframe.
