There is nothing wrong with getting a little sweet treat to celebrate your week. And this weekend, two national brands are offering discounts or giveaways around Northern Virginia. Here’s what’s in store at Cinnabon locations and Manassas’ new Dunkin’.
Cinnabon Celebrates 40 Years
Cinnabon is commemorating its 40th anniversary by offering its classic cinnamon rolls for just $1.25 on Friday, August 22, from 12 to 4 p.m. at participating locations.
This price is what the roll originally cost in 1985, when the first Cinnabon bakery opened in Seattle. The promotion is only available for Cinnabon rewards members, with a limit of one roll per person while supplies last. New members will receive a complimentary four-count of BonBites with any purchase upon joining.
Northern Virginia has Cinnabon locations in Fairfax, Manassas, Herndon, Dulles, McLean, Springfield, Woodbridge, and Arlington. Customers are encouraged to check with their local bakery for participation details.
New Dunkin’ Opens in Manassas
Dunkin’ is celebrating this Saturday with the grand opening of a new, “next-gen” location in Manassas. This new format will include upgraded digital kiosks, a new cold beverage tap system, and will be more energy-efficient, Potomac Local News reported. This location will also have a drive-through.
The festivities will kick off at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday with a ribbon cutting ceremony. At 9:45 a.m., the restaurant will reward the first 100 customers in line with free coffee for a year.
The event will include games, prizes, giveaways, music, face painting, and an appearance of Dunkin’s mascot.
The new Dunkin’ is open Monday through Saturday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. 9502 Liberia Ave., Manassas
