Get ready for a summer of fun, free entertainment. The Fairfax County Park Authority has announced its summer entertainment series lineup. Beginning June 1, the county will host 196 free outdoor concerts and movies across 17 venues.
“Last summer, more than 37,000 people attended 189 concerts across the county. They let music lift their spirits, raise their hopes, awaken their memories, forge friendship between cultures, and kindle a sense of belonging,” said Sousan Frankeberger, performing arts production manager for the Fairfax County Park Authority.
FCPA hosts 11 event series throughout the county:
- Arts in the Parks children’s entertainment series in multiple locations;
- Braddock Nights at Royal Lake Park, Lake Accotink Park, and Wakefield Park;
- Evenings on the Ellipse at the Fairfax County Government Center;
- Franconia District Nights at Franconia Park;

At Burke Lake’s Wednesday evening events, there will be beer sales from 2 Silos Brewing Co., along with food trucks and Peterson’s Ice Cream.
