6 New Bagel Shops Are Coming to Northern Virginia

New shops include national chains plus brand-new local brands.

By Michele Kettner November 21, 2025 at 7:00 am

With the wealth of shops opening in NoVA, it might seem like bagels are the part of the breakfast of champions. Here’s a preview of six spots that will be selling the delicious circular delights.

Bagel Chicks Bakery

This West Virginia-based bagel shop is heading down south to Purcellville. “For Bagel Chicks, Purcellville offers the right mix: a tight-knit community, a food-savvy population, and a morning crowd ready for something better than drive-thru,” the bakery announced. Bagel Chicks Bakery has grown a cult-like following with its boiled bagels, locally roasted coffee, and house-made sweets. 140 S. 20th St., Purcellville

Bobby’s Bagel Cafe

The shop that went viral for its pumpkin-shaped bagels is expanding. According to The Burn, Bobby’s Bagel Cafe is looking to open a new location in Countryside Marketplace. The store closed its Reston shop last year but currently operates locations in Herndon and Oakton. 2571 John Milton Dr., Herndon; 2914 Chain Bridge Rd., Oakton

Buffalo & Bergen

You’ll be able to find a smorgasbord of deli classics, including New-York style bagels, at the Buffalo & Bergen coming to Arlington. This will be the deli’s fourth location, and first in Virginia. 1028 N. Garfield St. Arlington

Call Your Mother

Prince William County is just months away from its first Call Your Mother bagel café. The new storefront is slated to open during Q1 of 2026. The deli’s menu will feature the same options diners have come to love, including bagels, bagel sandwiches, coffee, and other desserts. 7372 Atlas Walk Way, Gainesville

Einstein Bros. Bagels

Einstein Bros. Bagels is coming back to Fredericksburg, according to Fredericksburg Free Press. The bagel chain previously had two locations in the area. The storefront will be located at Plank Plaza, but the exact location is still being negotiated.

Torus Bagels

Former NFL player and Stone Bridge High School alum Edward Wang is opening a new bagel shop in Ashburn Village Center, according to The Burn. This will be the first location of Torus Bagels. It’s slated to open in summer 2026. 44110 Ashburn Village Blvd., Ste. 134, Ashburn
