Láylí Mediterranean adds a new layer of sophistication to already bustling Clarendon. The recently opened bar and restaurant is just the right blend of an elegant cocktail scene and exotic dining experience.
Check out the massive, impressively landscaped patio that draws in guests with its resort feel. Pulsing club music, strings of warm lights, and festively colored umbrellas liven up the already intriguing spot, offering a vacation destination, minus the airfare. Guests are transported to the sparkling Mediterranean coast here, indulging in inviting mezze cuisine and innovative beverages.

But it’s not just a pretty face. Láylí’s greatest strength is its cuisine. Fortunate diners are treated to outstanding delicacies from the Mediterranean region, including hot and cold mezze and beloved classics. Consider starter options like savory and satisfying baba ghanoush, a marvelous smoky eggplant dip served with warm pita bread. Its creamy blend of garlic, tahini, and citrus punctuated the rich blend of flavors, artfully presented.

Our party also ordered the mixed grill for two, offering an “everything but the kitchen sink” approach to Mediterranean dining. Our beef and chicken skewers were perfectly grilled, tender, and plentiful. The crispy meat-stuffed arayes delivered rich flavor and seasoning, and fragrant saffron rice dotted with sweet pomegranate seeds added an extra touch of authenticity to the meal. Generous portions of fresh vegetables and toum rounded out the dining experience, delivered with excellent service.

Sure, Láylí’s exotic setting gets curious diners in the door, but its outstanding Mediterranean cooking and fun cocktail menu will keep them coming back.
